About

Hi, I’m Hala and this is Halaballoo!

I’ve always been a creative at heart—no matter what stage in life I’m at, my desire to create has always been present. I was the kid that added glitter borders on my science projects, and the one at 2am on a random school-night that was rearranging furniture in my bedroom just for a change.

I launched Halaballoo in 2020 during my sophomore-year of college, where I studied Journalism at the University of Southern California. It was there that I furthered my love for storytelling—filling different roles including a reporter, radio host, news editor and a podcast producer.

When I graduated, I decided to take a leap of faith and take my business full-time—the curiosity of “what if,” truly enticed me. It was an untraditional path to take straight from college, but I reframed the uncertainty to an outlook of potential.

I didn’t realize it at the time, but Halaballoo was always brewing in the background—it’s middle-school me pushing my dresser across the room, but it’s also podcast-me producing a show and designing cover art.

Halaballoo is a canvas of my journey as an artist—it paints all sides of me as a creative and a storyteller. Every collection tells a story, and every design shares an intention. Halaballoo is an ever-unfolding story that I am committed to telling. No matter the chapter, it’s a space for representation, ideas, and design to collide through the crafting of meaningful pieces.

Thank you for keeping along with my journey and being a part of my story!
